This qualification has the practical skills and theoretical knowledge required for specialised or skilled work in the conservation and ecosystem management industry. The qualification provides for advanced skills and/or supervisory roles in a broad range of conservation and ecological work or can focus on areas of specific needs including: supervisory and management indigenous land management ecosystem management pest controller fire management. No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.

Packaging Rules
To achieve this qualification, competency must be demonstrated in: 12 units of competency: 2 core unit plus 10 elective units. Elective units must ensure the integrity of the qualification’s Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) alignment and contribute to a valid, industry-supported vocational outcome. The electives are to be chosen as follows: at least 3 units must be selected from Group A remaining units may be selected from Group A or B or C and up to 4 units may be selected from any currently endorsed Training Package or accredited course Elective Group C can only be selected if required as a prerequisite. Where First Aid training is required, the current unit must be imported using the import rules above.
